Chris Kevorkian Executive Vice President/Digital MPA – The Association of Magazine Media
Chris Kevorkian joined MPA as Executive Vice President/Digital in 2010. In this capacity he focuses on initiatives that advance publishers’ cross-platform interests with allied industries and associations. Additional efforts endeavor to define early guidelines and, ultimately, digital best practices.
Prior to joining MPA, Mr. Kevorkian was Senior Vice President, Business Development at Business.com/Work.com, where he built powerful new network distribution partnerships focused on optimizing performance and end user experience.
Mr. Kevorkian moved into the digital world when he joined a Matrix Partners-backed startup, DirectoryM.com, as Senior Vice President of Business Development & Sales. There, he built a distribution network in the U.S. and UK, delivering local advertising directories and content to the online end users of business publications, including PC World, The Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, BusinessWeek and the American City Business Journals, among others.
Mr. Kevorkian was also Publisher at Time Inc.’s Sunset, where he successfully re-launched the Sunset brand and drove it record setting profitability. Prior to his move to Sunset, Mr. Kevorkian was with Hearst Magazines where he ultimately became Ad Director of Good Housekeeping. He began his career in media & account management at Young & Rubicam and BBDO in San Francisco and New York.
He has led the Digital Initiatives for American Business Media as Chair of their Digital Media Council 2008-2010 and as Vice Chair 2006-2008. |
