The two-part Slam-Pitch Workshop will offer junior-level editors the opportunity to learn the finer points of pitching a story (whether it's for their own magazine or freelance), as well as put their skills into action. During the first session, a panel of senior feature and assigning editors will discuss what they look for in a pitch and what makes a great pitch. There will also be time for Q&A. During the second session, attendees will be broken up into small groups, which will each be assigned a senior editor. The attendees will then get the chance to pitch to the senior editor on the spot as their peers listen on, using tips they learned during the first session to improve their pitch.
