Playboy Video Podcast Allows consumers with portable media players to take Playboy on-the-go.  The "Bodcasts," as Playboy describes them, are updated every weekday, with content from Playboy.com. Features a joke of the day, “Ask Hef Anything,” and "From the Mouths of Babes" provides advice from Playboy's cyber girls. Dec. 6, 2005
Glamour Short movies (5 to 15 min long) for Glamour.com A series of short films based on stories submitted by readers – called Reel Moments – will be posted on Glamour.com Dec. 9.  Dec. 5, 2005
TV Guide Stream premiere episode of tv series TVGuide.com will stream the first episode of the new Showtime miniseries “Sleeper Cell”  on Dec. 4, the date of the serie’s premiere. Dec. 1, 2005
Ziff Davis Online videos series about technology Online video series, DL.tv, which revolves around technology news and reviews.  It is a 30-minute series that is the top-ranked video podcast on iTunes.  November, 2005
Runner’s World Podcast Runner’s World launched a podcast on runnersworld.com and iTunes tied to the November 6 New York City marathon.  RW produced 8 podcast segments.  Sponsored by Asics shoes.  October 31, 2005
Dennis Publishing Content deal Dennis Publishing’s The Week will produce “The Best of Today’s Business,” a daily roundup of print and online business news that will appear on the Yahoo Finance page.  October 31, 2005
Forbes One time “Communicating” section Features audio and text from more than 20 guest authors such as Arthur C. Clark, and interactive games, polls and comic strips all devoted to subject of communication. October 25, 2005
National Geographic Video for broadband The magazine’s digital media group launches short form production unit to create video for broadband applications.  Will distribute content on MSN Video.  (Headed by Matt White, EVP for digital media.) October 20, 2005
BusinessWeek Blog Hosting BW launched a free blog hosting service for MBA students. October 19, 2005
Primedia Wireless The company will deliver wireless content from Primedia’s international auto titles to mobile phone users.  Various branded wallpaper and ringtones will be inspired by titles such as Super Street, Import Tune and Sport Compact Car. September 29, 2005
Ski Magazine and Skiing (Time4 Media) Wireless Both magazines offer free wireless snow reports.  Over 475 resorts in N. America participate in service that delivers snow reports as text messages to cell phones as well as a weekly email update for the resorts they choose. Fall 2005
Ski Magazine and Skiing (Time4 Media) Customized search Ski finder allows visitors to search by manufacturer, year, category, level, gender and what the ski does best.  Boot Finder features custom searches by manufacturer, type of boot and how the boot should fit.  Fall 2005
SI on Campus New website A new website with original content contributed by mag writers.  The Campus site includes blogs, which are not featured on SI.com as well as a platform dubbed “The Vent,” where gripers can create and add to discussion threads. September 15, 2005
Surfer Ringtones/ Wallpaper Dozens of wallpaper images and ringtones from contemporary groups are available from the magazine (for $1.99 a piece). August 2005
Playboy Deal with Zinio Digital version of Playboy available beginning with October issue August 24, 2005
Hachette Filipacchi Deal with Zinio Six more Hachette titles, including Premiere, Woman’s Day and Elle, will be available on Zinio by Q1 2006.  All told, 18 Hachette titles will be available on Zinio by then. August 2005
Sports Illustrated E-commerce venture Teamed up with athletic apparel retailer The Finish Line to launch new web retail store SI Shop. Visitors can purchase team and sports-based apparel.  SI products like classic covers will also be sold. July 20, 2005

BusinessWeek Special digital edition Working with Intel and Zinio, BW created a one-time-only online issue featuring multimedia audio and video plus editorial.  The IT-100 issue looked at the top 100 tech companies Summer 2005
The New Yorker 80 years of print content on DVD series “The Complete New Yorker,” collection of 8 DVDs containing digital images of every page of the 4,109 issues of magazine from February 1925 through the 80th anniversary issue published February 2005.  June 2, 2005
Sports Illustrated Streaming video SI is complementing its print features with broadband video segments.  For instance, in early June, SI had a feature on Tony Stewart and the world of dirt-track car racing. On SI.com there was a video available of Stewart discussing his racing experiences.  June 1, 2005
TV Guide TV trivia game On TVGuide.com, Big Network Boss will be an interactive TV trivia game.  Users will compete against fans around the country answering questions on TV shows. May 16, 2005
TV Guide Video-based content On TVGuide.com, there will be a TV Guide Spot, a series of short-form video clips spotlighting TV programs. May 16, 2005
Forbes Luxury auto site The magazine launched a website aimed at luxury car buyers (at www.forbesautos.com). Offers product reviews and expert analysis.  Also includes video content such as interviews and footage of the NY auto show. May 4, 2005
TransWorld Media (division of Time4Media) Webcam images of beaches Because of a partnership with Surfline, visitors to transworldsurf.com will have free access to webcam images from nearly 100 beach webcams.  May 2, 2005
Premiere Mobile phone content Premiere Mobile Network offers movie reviews and is exploring more broadband applications. Spring 2005
Playboy Photos for PlayStation (and iPod) Playboy will offer nude and non-nude photo galleries that have been specifically formatted for viewing on Sony’s Portable PlayStation.  (In January, Playboy announced an assortment of galleries that were formatted for digital media players including iPod.) Meredith (Better Homes and Gardens, Ladies Home Journal and American Baby Video games on magazine website Because women are the most avid online gamers, Meredith launched gaming sections on 3 of its most widely read websites: bhg.com, lhj.com and americanbaby.com.  Meredith says the games are a way to keep readers on the sites longer.  Two games that Meredith built are designed to be adapted by advertisers for use as adver-games. TV Guide Interactive program guide for mobile phones TV Guide’s service will allow mobile phone users to remotely access tv program listings, and search listings by title, date or network.  Service also gives users access to tv-related ring tones, wall paper and video content. (Currently in development.  Will be available late in year.) April 5, 2005
Teen Vogue TXT message announcement Launched It Girl Mobile (trial program), which provides advertisers’ text-message announcement to members of the magazine’s It Girl reader web panel (50,000 members).  April 2005
More Interactive shopping pages “Shop MoreStyle,” a new feature that allows readers to shop the pages of the magazine at More.com.  The fashion spreads that are available for shopping online are marked with the Shop MoresStyle logo in the magazine. April 19, 2005
Martha Stewart Living Radio channel on Sirius In the fall, the Martha Stewart Living Radio channel will be carried on Sirius.  It would offer Stewart’s brand of women’s lifestyle content.  April 18, 2005
FHM/Emap TV channel FHM, the best selling lad mag in Britain, will also become a TV station on Sky Digital in May. The new channel will share a slot with Q station and follow the same music video format, playing videos consistent with the FHM brand.  April 14, 2005
Time Inc. Mobile messaging Time Inc. will use mobile messaging to promote some if its roughly 140 magazine titles through offerings such as news, voting and exclusive content.  April 12, 2005
CosmoGIRL! TXT Horoscope service Subscribers who pay $1.99 per month for this service receive a daily horoscope via text message.  The service is available across all leading wireless carriers and will be promoted in every edition of CosmoGIRL. March 14, 2005
Maxim Streaming videos Maxim video content is available free on demand at MSN.  The video content is similar to the print component: saucy, scantily clad young women, with a smattering of fashion and car content as well.  Maxim will provide five 60-to-120-second videos a week. March 31, 2005
Primedia Cable and HDTV programming Primedia becomes the largest producer of original outdoor TV programming with the launch of Shallow Water Angler TV, Flida Sportsman TV and Bowhunter TV.  Two more show will launch in fall 2005.  March 22, 2005
