Dear Independent Magazine Publisher:

The 7^th Annual MPA-IMAG Independent Magazine Conference is rapidly approaching and as this year’s conference chair I want to personally invite you to you to join us in Washington, DC on April 25-26.

I’ve attended these since they first started in 2004.  Each year they get better and this year’s theme couldn’t be more timely: Audience-Driven Profitability.  Our organizing committee has assembled a knowledgeable, creative and experienced set of speakers to give us benchmarks and share best practices.   Just glance at the attached program and you’ll see it’s packed.

But beyond the formal program there’s another reason to attend.  IMAG conferences are known for their supportive and collegial atmosphere.  Attendees themselves often have the best insights so we’re extending the very popular Workshop session which allows you to tackle real-life problems in teams.  It’s a great way to network and to get very specific questions answered.   A few years ago when Consumer Reports was launching ShopSmart, IMAG provided me with some very essential information and support.
